Sunset Coast is a gorgeous suburb of Perth, only a short 20 minute drive from the Perth CBD. The Sunset Coast is famous for one thing: beaches, beaches and beaches. Starting from Cottesloe and stretching as high as Mindarie Keys, encapsulating the best stretch of swimming and surfing beaches in the Perth area. Accommodation in the area is varied and if you are looking for a cheap surfing holiday, there are plenty of backpacker hostels and budget hotel options. For something more lavish, Perth's luxury hotels and resorts are only a stones throw away.

Sunset Coast has so many beaches where you will definitely find the perfect beach for you and your friends or family. North Beach and Sorrento Beach are great for swimming, and very popular with families. City Beach and Trigg beach are great for surfers just learning the craft and Scarborough Beach offers a great rip for more experienced surfers. There is even the more risque Swanbourne Beach, which is great for swimming and commonly used as a nudist beach. Without leaving the beach, you can enjoy some alfresco dining at some of the finest restaurants and cafes in Perth, so Sunset Coast will not leave you needing anything more. And as the name suggests, the sunsets over the beaches are to die for, so make sure you finish the day with a romantic stroll along the beach to watch the sun set. The Sunset Coast can cater perfectly for romantic getaways, with fantastic beachfront hotels and motels. Families are also well taken care of, with fully equipped self contained apartments they will love.

If the beaches aren't enough for you, Sunset Coast is only a short drive from the beautiful Sunset Hinterland. The West Australian bush is only 30 minutes from Sunset Coast. The real drawcard of the Western Australian bush is the Yanchep National Park. The lush canopy, beautiful walks and great scenery are only part of the fun and the best part is you get to see koala's kangaroos and cockatoos in their native habitat. And for a touch of educational fun, the park runs aboriginal dance and culture tours, which are especially great for the kids.
