A family property of three generations, Hawley House, her Stables and the Vineyard Pavilion are one with her peacock lawns, water gardens, the sandy beaches and the Narawntapu National Park beyond. Hawley unashamably embraces the patina created by her 130 year history, and the idiosyncrasies of being a family home, not least of which is her unique rooftop bath.
Hawley House is the original homestead of the 150 hectare working estate which sustains a substantial vineyard and an extensive and comprehensive wildlife reserve.
Guests stay in a wide range of spacious and individually appointed rooms, all with en suite bathrooms and breathtaking views, eclectic original artworks and furnishings.
Homegrown produce is served in the dining room each day which hosts Weddings and business functions for up to 150 guests.
The dining room is open most nights subject to sufficient demand (dinner service not guaranteed). A $10 voucher towards meals at the Gingerbread House, located 15 minutes drive away, is included in your room tariff.
Hawley House is animal friendly. Pets are welcome by arrangement.
Hawley House is the quintessential Tasmanian experience.
Accommodation at Hawley is offered in the Main House, Stables and
Vineyard Pavilion.
The spacious rooms have been individually appointed with antique furnishings, oversized beds and original works of art.
